We are driven by a divine calling to bring hope and transformation in communities in need. Following the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we embarked on this journey of faith, establishing a nonprofit organization in Mauritius to serve the community in need with love, compassion, and purpose.

Our ministry began by connecting with a person of peace in Mauritius, paving the way for the creation of Hands of Mercy, a registered non-profit organization. Through our innovative “Food in a jar” concept, we provide nourishment to the Port Louis community in need while fostering a sense of community and care.

Our mission statement was not just meeting physical needs, we are committed to spiritual growth and discipleship. Hands of Mercy hosts house churches, children’s ministries, church gatherings, and discipleship training programs. These initiatives are designed to equip individuals with the tools to grow in their faith and to spread the love of Christ within their communities.

Guided by our mission to be His hands and feet, we strive to be a beacon of hope in Mauritius, transforming lives through practical service, spiritual discipleship, and unwavering love.

Back in South Africa been through the journey of starting a new non-government organization lifecycle we quickly realized that it is about forming partnerships, sponsorship, community support, budgeting for nonprofit organizations and financial stability. Starting and sustaining a NPO is indeed a challenging journey. The hurdles in securing funding, building credibility, and staying true to the mission can feel overwhelming at times. Yet, the transformative power of seeing lives change, communities grow, and the direct impact of your work makes it all worthwhile.
The resilience and dedication required to push through the challenges demonstrate the strength of our mission and passion. By focusing on the stories of change and the broader social impact you’re creating, you fuel not only your own perseverance but also the belief of those who support your cause.

Sowing Hope a nonprofit organization was born out of a clear instruction from the Holy Spirit: to equip and empower others to fulfil their God-given missions. We recognized that many individuals and community organizations face challenges in starting and sustaining their ministries or non-profit organizations due to a lack of knowledge about essential structures and financial management.

At Sowing Hope we are mission driven, we are dedicated to bridging this gap by providing guidance, resources, strategic planning, financial management and support to help others establish strong foundations for their missions. Our heart is to see God’s work flourish in every community by empowering His people with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.

Through our mentorship programs, practical training, and spiritual encouragement, we aim to sow seeds of hope, faith, and transformation into the lives of those called to make a difference. Together, we are building a legacy of empowered ministries, advancing the Kingdom of God one mission at a time.
